Literally millions of people send texts to their friends everyday and most of the time the messages are of an informal nature. But in Europe text messaging is developing a more serious side too.

The web site believes all young people have the capacity to make their own decisions and life choices, provided they have access to high quality, impartial information and advice. The site.org provides factsheets and articles on all the key issues facing young people including: sex and relationships; drinking and drugs; work and study; housing, legal and finances; and health and wellbeing.

In these days of satellite technology is hard to come to terms with the fact that barely twenty years ago communication in remote areas of the world was virtually impossible. It took weeks for information to pass from one village to another. Not anymore. Today lightweight, portable and relatively inexpensive equipment makes it possible for even far flung corners of the world to benefit from the technology revolution.
