Beslan Revisited
The small town of Beslan in southern Russia was largely unknown outside the Russian Federation until a group of armed Chechen separatists took more than 1200 children and adults hostage at a local high school in September 2004.  On the third day of the standoff, chaos ensued when Russian security forces attempted to free the hostages.  334 civilians were killed, including 186 children.  FSN's Moscow Correspondent  Anya Ardayeva has revisited Beslan, a town forever scarred by the tragedy.
